“Chasing the Worlds” goes to the heart of what it takes to prepare for an esports Worlds: hours on the trainer, tailored training plans and “normal” lives that have to fit in around all of it.
The riders talk about sacrifice, pressure and expectation before the start: what it means to fight through qualifications to reach the finals, to live every day with the numbers on the screen and to handle the tension of a World Championships raced on a virtual platform – but with very real weight on their careers and their dreams.
