Intermarchè Wanty

Intermarché Wanty is the first WorldTour team from Wallonia, founded in 1974 as an amateur club and grown into one of the most remarkable stories in professional cycling. With a vision rooted in hard work, passion, and talent development, the team has written memorable chapters—such as winning the green jersey and three stage victories at the 2024 Tour de France.

The team stands out for its commitment to inclusivity and the growth of cycling in all its forms: in 2023, it signed its first professional female riders and launched the Continental team Circus-ReUz-Technord to nurture young talent. Intermarché Wanty is also a major player in cyclocross, with national, European, and world championship titles.

Among its most iconic moments, Biniam Girmay’s victory at Gent-Wevelgem in 2022becoming the first African rider to win a monument classic—marked a historic milestone for the team and for international cycling. The squad has also made its mark in Grand Tours, earning leader jerseys at both the Giro d’Italia and the Vuelta a España.
