Square

Square is a smart frame with advanced virtual shifting, designed to replicate your bike in indoor training right down to the exact drivetrain configuration. It is compatible with most direct-drive trainers on the market and all cycling apps.

Square is smart because it lets you customize gear ratios, cassette teeth and chainrings in the app, or choose from different profiles by course type. You can also select the convenient sequential shifting, with realistic controls right on the handlebar.

On Zwift, every command now runs through the buttons on the handlebar controllers: your gear appears on screen and all the community's favorite features are right at your fingertips.

Every part of the frame is adjustable: saddle, handlebar, top tube and cranks adapt precisely to any height and riding style, so you can share the setup with other riders using the same trainer. The belt drive delivers a smooth, silent pedal stroke.

Square also works with Rizer, bringing steering and gradient simulation into your indoor workouts.

WORKS WITH ALL THE MOST POPULAR TRAINERS AND APPS
Square works with all the latest direct-drive trainers and lets you use its wide range of virtual shifting options on any app, giving you complete freedom in every workout. All you need to do is select the parameters of the bike you want to recreate in its dedicated app and set Square as the power source. You'll find the list of compatible trainers here.

For the full experience on Zwift and Rouvy, pair the trainer as the power, resistance and cadence source, and Square as controls. Your gears appear on screen, and you get app control right from the buttons on the handlebar controllers. Alongside the default sequential shifting, Zwift offers Shimano-style and SRAM-style configurations, with three gearing options.
Advanced virtual shifting
VIRTUAL SHIFTING, REAL CONFIGURATION
At the heart of Square is its high-end virtual shifting, able to replicate your bike in every detail: groupset, number of speeds, chainrings and cassette teeth. Once set up in the Square app, it follows you into every cycling app you train with.
Shimano is the default, and the Square app lets you switch to SRAM, Campagnolo or sequential shifting. Chainrings, sprockets and tooth counts are fully adjustable: 10 to 13-speed cassettes, sprockets from 9 to 52 teeth, and 1, 2 or 3 chainrings from 22 to 60 teeth.
The result is the exact gearing of your own bike, or the setup that best fits the session you have in mind.
PRESET PROFILES AND SEQUENTIAL SHIFTING
To get you started straight away, Square comes preset with a Shimano 12-speed Mixed profile. From there you can edit it however you like, add four more profiles based on your own drivetrain, or switch to the convenient native sequential shifting, adjustable across 5 to 24 resistance levels.

Everything is controlled right from the handlebar, with levers and buttons laid out just like on your road bike.
Multifunction handlebar
EVERY ZWIFT COMMAND FROM THE HANDLEBAR CONTROLLERS
The handlebar of Elite's smart frame mirrors the lever and button layout of Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo groupsets, with functions identical to your real bike.
Each controller features 10 buttons: two for shifting, one for Campagnolo shifting, one for braking activated by the lever, two to adjust Aria's airflow or use the steering options on Zwift, and four dedicated to Zwift commands.
On trainers equipped with Zwift Protocol and compatible with Zwift Cog and Click, the buttons on Square's controllers become fully fledged Zwift controls, working on the same principle as Zwift Play, Zwift Click or Zwift Ride: you shift gears, navigate menus and interact with Zwift without taking your hands off the bar. Other button combinations and long presses unlock advanced functions, such as continuous shifting, switching between manual and simulation mode with Aria, or moving between configuration profiles.
HANDLEBAR SPECIFICATIONS
The handlebar is 420 mm wide with a 6° flare—stable and comfortable even on long sessions. Non-slip silicone grips provide a secure, road-bike feel with excellent durability.

A preinstalled bike-computer mount is included and fits the most common models.
An optional dedicated tablet mount is available and integrates cleanly into the setup.

Square is built to match your outdoor fit precisely, with an adjustable structure that covers a wide range of sizes from XS to XL.

You can fine-tune all key points: saddle height, fore-aft, and tilt; handlebar height and reach; effective top-tube length; crank length.
All adjustment zones feature clear millimetric scales to guide you to an accurate, repeatable position.
ADJUSTABLE CRANK ARMS
For even finer personalization, Square offers five crank lengths: 165, 167.5, 170, 172.5, and 175 mm.

Square is a battery-powered Plug & Play smart frame that does not require mains power during use. Mounting it to your trainer—and adding accessories if needed—is simple, with included tools and the Square control app.

On first launch you can pair the nearest Elite detected trainer, create up to five user profiles with different gearing, set a stand-alone resistance level, and access all core functions like virtual shifting adjustments and accessory pairing.
